Digital India BHASHINI Division and Government of Manipur Sign MoU to Advance Multilingual AI and Language Technology at BHASHINI Rajyam Workshop

The Digital India BHASHINI Division (DIBD), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Manipur during the BHASHINI Rajyam Workshop in Imphal. The collaboration aims to advance multilingual artificial intelligence, strengthen language technology, and integrate Indian language solutions into government and citizen-facing digital services across Manipur. The initiative highlights BHASHINI's Language-First Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and its application in governance sectors like education, healthcare, legal services, and grievance redressal, while leveraging local linguistic diversity.
