DoT and ITU organise AI for Good Build-a-thon 5.0 at India Mobile Congress 2026

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications, in collaboration with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), organized the AI for Good Build-a-thon 5.0 at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026 in New Delhi. The event focused on creating innovative Agentic AI solutions for 5G that comply with Indian telecom policies and international standards. Initiated in early July with over 25 registered teams, the program included mentoring sessions utilizing frameworks like the ITU-T Y.3172 pipeline and the ITU AI Readiness 2.0 report. The event featured presentations of various prototypes—such as multi-agent network analysis, unified traffic and security controllers, and regulation-embedded network operations—with prizes awarded to top teams including RVCE Bangalore and team SNR.
