As A Follow-Up to The Departmental Summit on Water 2026, Department Of Drinking Water and Sanitation Organised Virtual Conference On Convergence Of JJM 2.0 With VB-G RAM G For Source Sustainability And Gram Panchayat-Led Water Governance

The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS), Ministry of Jal Shakti, organized a virtual conference with States and UTs focusing on the convergence of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) 2.0 with VB-G RAM G. The conference emphasized source sustainability, water security, and Gram Panchayat-led water governance as a follow-up to the Departmental Summit on Water 2026. Key discussions centered on long-term functionality and reliability of rural water supply assets, scientific planning through the Decision Support System (DSS) and Yuktdhara, integration of Village Action Plans with Viksit Gram Panchayat Plans (VGPPs) and Gram Panchayat Development Plans (GPDPs), and inter-departmental coordination among Rural Water Supply, Rural Development, and Panchayati Raj departments.
