Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman to embark on an official visit to Bangkok, Thailand, from 14th to 18th October 2026

Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman is undertaking an official visit to Bangkok, Thailand, from October 14th to 18th, 2026. During the visit, she will attend the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group, as well as G20 and G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) meetings. Her schedule includes bilateral discussions with counterparts from Thailand, Switzerland, Japan, Luxembourg, Bhutan, and Curaçao, alongside meetings with the IMF Managing Director and the Governor of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation. She will also participate in an Atlantic Council fire-side chat and a Germany side event to showcase India’s economic growth, reform priorities, and trade resilience.
