Hon’ble Chairperson National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) Shri Antar Singh Arya reviewed the implementation of constitutionals safeguards and various programmes for ST’s by Ministry of Heavy Industries

The Chairperson of the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST), Shri Antar Singh Arya, chaired a review meeting with the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) to evaluate the implementation of constitutional safeguards, reservation policies, recruitment procedures, reservation rosters, and grievance redressal mechanisms for Scheduled Tribes. The meeting involved senior officials from the Ministry, NCST, and Central Public Sector Enterprises such as BHEL, CCI, and EPIL. Discussions focused on ST representation, compliance with reservation guidelines, and institutional safeguards. The Commission recommended establishing structured mechanisms for skill development and vocational training through CPSEs and Autonomous Bodies, alongside regular review meetings to monitor employee grievance resolution.
