Union Environment Minister and CM (NCT Delhi) review Air Pollution Mitigation measures at Anand Vihar Hotspot and visit DPCC’s AI-enabled ICCC facility at Shastri Park
The Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change and the Chief Minister of NCT Delhi reviewed air pollution mitigation measures at the Anand Vihar hotspot and visited the Delhi Pollution Control Committee's AI-enabled Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) at Shastri Park. Key initiatives inaugurated or launched include 150 electric buses under the Sewa Sankalp Abhiyaan, public EV charging stations at five locations, and 13 new Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations (CAAQMS) across Delhi. Officials noted that Anand Vihar had been a major pollution hotspot due to traffic congestion, unpaved roads, construction dust, and open waste burning, but short- and long-term actions by 11 agencies have contained the issue. The expanded CAAQMS network now totals 60 stations across Delhi.
