Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Shri Piyush Goyal, speaking at the 'Dilli Dialogue: Policies for a Future-Ready India', emphasized a twin-track approach combining global technologies with employment generation. He highlighted India's expanding engagement through Free Trade Agreements, ambitions toward a trillion-dollar export target, and a roadmap toward 'Viksit Bharat 2047'. The Minister discussed India's domestic market potential, demographic advantage, tourism growth supported by artificial intelligence, and manufacturing growth prospects, specifically noting India's potential to become a global car manufacturing hub and stressing the importance of quality standards governed by institutions like the Bureau of Indian Standards and the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India.
