Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare Intensifies Efforts under Special Campaign 6.0 to Institutionalise Swachhata and Reduce Pendency

The Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare (DESW), under the Ministry of Defence, is participating in the Government of India's Special Campaign 6.0 from October 2 to October 31, 2026. The campaign focuses on institutionalising Swachhata, reducing administrative pendency, and improving workplace efficiency. Key activities include e-waste management in accordance with E-Waste (Management) Rules under the 'Waste to Wealth' concept, comprehensive cleanliness and Shramdaan drives, expeditious disposal of pending grievances and Parliamentary assurances, and embedding sustainable cleanliness practices into routine departmental functioning.
