Dr. Jitendra Singh Urges Industry to Accelerate Commercialisation of Indian Innovation, Scale Up Capabilities for Strategic Sovereignty by 2047

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh addressed the 121st Annual Session of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in New Delhi, urging industry to accelerate the commercialisation of Indian innovations and scale up capabilities to achieve strategic sovereignty by 2047. Highlighting achievements across frontier sectors, the Minister noted that India achieved 1,000 km of quantum-secure communication against an eight-year target of 2,000 km, and that India's bioeconomy has grown to approximately US$ 196 billion with a target of US$ 300 billion by 2030. He emphasized public-private synergy, early industry engagement in research, and the Government's Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) initiative to translate scientific research into globally competitive enterprises.
