Union Minister Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia Inaugurates AI for Good Lab Workshop at India Mobile Congress 2026

Union Minister for Communications Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia inaugurated the "AI for Good Lab Workshop: From Strategy to Impact" at the India Mobile Congress 2026, organized by the Department of Telecommunications and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). India is serving as one of ten pilot countries partnering with the ITU to bridge the gap between AI strategy and impact across the Global South. The workshop introduced an AI for Good Lab framework built on three pillars: AI Readiness and Policy, AI Skills Development, and Public AI Infrastructure. During the address, the Minister highlighted milestones under the IndiaAI Mission, compute capacity expansion, open data platforms like AI Kosh, telecom trust and fraud prevention tools such as Sanchar Saathi, and national AI standards developed by the Telecommunication Engineering Centre.
