15th Meeting of ASEAN-India Trade in Goods Agreement (AITIGA) Joint Committee held during 6-9 October 2026

The 15th Meeting of the ASEAN-India Trade in Goods Agreement (AITIGA) Joint Committee was held from 6th to 9th October 2026 at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia, in a hybrid format. Co-chaired by India and Malaysia, the meeting included delegates from ASEAN member countries. Three sub-committees—on Legal and Institutional Issues, National Treatment on Market Access, and Rules of Origin—met on the sidelines. The Joint Committee directed sub-committees to expedite pending chapters under the AITIGA Review with time-bound deliverables. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to modernize the agreement and deepen economic integration, with the next meeting scheduled for January 2027 in India.
