The Department of Telecommunications hosted the Ministerial Programme at India Mobile Congress 2026 under the theme "Scale Without Boundaries: Investing in the Next Billion Digital Connections." Union Minister of Communications Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia chaired the programme, emphasising sustained investment, international cooperation, and enabling policy frameworks to expand affordable and meaningful digital connectivity. The event brought together global ministers, international organizations such as the ITU and GSMA Foundation, and industry leaders to discuss strategies for building resilient digital infrastructure, advancing towards 5G-Advanced, 6G, satellite networks, and artificial intelligence, and ensuring inclusive digital growth globally.
