Ministry Of Social Justice & Empowerment To Hold Regional Review Meeting In Diu Tomorrow

The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment is convening a Regional Review Meeting in Diu for the Western Region, covering Rajasthan, Goa, Maharashtra, and the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. The meeting aims to review the implementation of key welfare, social empowerment, and social defence schemes with a focus on last-mile delivery, beneficiary saturation, and outcome-oriented governance. Specific programmes under review include PM-AJAY, enforcement mechanisms for the PCR Act and the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction, scholarship schemes, Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojana, and NAMASTE. The deliberations seek to identify implementation gaps, share best practices, and establish time-bound corrective measures.
