From Regional Identity to Shared National Heritage

The Ministry of Culture highlighted that the 8th edition of the PM Mementos e-Auction features 22 mementos from Madhya Pradesh, reflecting the state's living heritage, traditions, and artistic expressions. The collection includes architectural models such as the Kandariya Mahadev Temple and Udayagiri Caves, tributes to figures like Dr. Hari Singh Gour, indigenous Gond Tree of Life paintings, and sacred traditions from Ujjain, Shajapur, Neemuch, and Khandwa. It also incorporates national symbols like the Lion Capital of Ashoka and contemporary public life items. The initiative aims to bring regional gifts into a wider national cultural memory through e-auctions, with proceeds supporting the Namami Gange Programme. The auction has been extended until October 31, 2026.
