Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Inaugurates 10th Edition of India Mobile Congress 2026

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the 10th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, held under the theme “Scale Without Boundaries.” Jointly organised by the Department of Telecommunications and the Cellular Operators Association of India, the forum convenes global policymakers, innovators, and industry leaders. Government officials highlighted achievements in the telecom sector, including the nationwide expansion of 5G with over 5,50,000 base stations, a tenfold increase in mobile internet speeds since 2022, and growth to over 1.35 billion telecom subscribers. Discussions at IMC 2026 also emphasized indigenous deep-tech innovations, digital governance initiatives like Direct Benefit Transfer and Sanchar Saathi, and goals to connect 1 billion 5G users by 2030.
