PM to participate in Valedictory Session of Departmental Summit on Women and Child Development on 9th October

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is scheduled to participate in the valedictory session and address the Departmental Summit on Women and Child Development on 9th October 2026 at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, New Delhi. The two-day summit, held on 8–9 October 2026, involves political leadership and officials from all States. It is the second in a series of departmental summits intended to foster cooperative federalism, collective ownership of national priorities, and Centre-State collaboration. The event centers on four themes: reimagining Anganwadi Centres for nutrition and early education, strengthening child protection systems, ensuring women's safety through institutional and legislative frameworks, and advancing women's empowerment via key schemes.
