CSIR-NIO to Organise Open Day and Public Lecture on Ocean Science on October 12

The CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography (CSIR-NIO) in Goa is organizing an Open Day and Public Lecture on October 12, 2026, as part of the 85th Foundation Day celebrations of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). The event features exhibitions on marine resources and oceanographic instruments, screening of ocean science films, a special session on careers in oceanography, and a public lecture titled “Eyes in the Sky, Ears in the Waters” by Dr. D. Seshagiri, Director of the Naval Physical & Oceanographic Laboratory.
