Jal Shakti Minister Shri C.R. Paatil chairs 20th Meeting of Empowered Task Force on Ganga Rejuvenation

The Union Minister for Jal Shakti, Shri C. R. Paatil, chaired the 20th Meeting of the Empowered Task Force (ETF) on Ganga Rejuvenation in New Delhi to review the progress of the Namami Gange Programme. The meeting evaluated key interventions including sewage infrastructure development, scientific water management, safe reuse of treated wastewater, ecological restoration, and groundwater management. Discussions highlighted project statuses across Bihar, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi, alongside initiatives such as the rejuvenation of Gomti Udgam Sthal and the Niranjana/Falgu River. The meeting also emphasized integrating water-related curricula into educational institutions, developing academic courses under the River City Alliance, and promoting public participation through initiatives like Swachhta Hi Seva.
