Three Historic Tamil Film Prints starring Sivaji Ganesan donated to National Film Archive of India

Three historic 35mm Tamil film prints starring Sivaji Ganesan and directed by A. P. Nagarajan—namely 'Thiruvarutchelvar' (1967), 'Thillana Mohanambal' (1968), and 'Thiruvilayadal' (1965)—have been donated by Film Research Officer Aparna Subramanian to the NFDC–National Film Archive of India (NFAI) in Pune. This acquisition marks NFAI's first-ever copy of 'Thiruvarutchelvar' and provides additional surviving elements for the other two films, aiding archival preservation, technical assessment, and future digitisation despite signs of magenta colour fading and projector scratches.
