ICAR Reviews Progress of Nine Committees on Action Points of 5th National Conference of Chief Secretaries

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) reviewed the progress of nine committees formed to address key action points from the 5th National Conference of Chief Secretaries held in December 2025. Chaired by Dr. M. L. Jat, Secretary of DARE and Director General of ICAR, the meeting assessed ongoing efforts across 28 action points focusing on higher education, skills, innovation, and capacity building to strengthen human capital. Member Secretaries presented progress updates, key achievements, existing gaps, and proposed recommendations, with an emphasis on evidence-based, measurable, and timely outcomes.
