Chintan Shivir 2026 Concludes with Focus on Collaborative Knowledge Sharing for Quality Road Infrastructure

The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways concluded the two-day 'Chintan Shivir 2026 – A National Conclave on Highway Infrastructure' at Ekta Nagar, Gujarat. The conclave focused on Centre-State collaboration, sharing field-level experiences, and building institutional capacity for high-quality road infrastructure across urban and rural networks, state highways, and expressways. Discussions centered on leveraging national technology platforms like PM GatiShakti, Data Lake, eDAR, and Bhoomi Rashi for state-level applications. Key areas also included strengthening the construction ecosystem through skill development, improving supervision and performance assessment of consultants, adopting innovative contracting models, and enhancing road safety interventions.
