PM interacts with Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA) Board Members

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi interacted with the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA) Board members ahead of the India Mobile Congress. During the interaction, the Prime Minister emphasized that technology should be a tool for inclusive and sustainable development, stressing the democratization of technology, affordability, accessibility, and last-mile reach for the Global South. He highlighted the transformative potential of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), called for technology-driven solutions and user awareness to tackle cyber fraud, and suggested global standards and common rules, including origin identification for deepfakes and AI-generated content. GSMA board members praised India's digital transformation, rapid 4G/5G expansion, mobile manufacturing growth, and discussed opportunities for international cooperation in 5G, 6G, AI, and cybersecurity.
