Ministry of Textiles Organises Swachhta and Cleanliness Activities on Gandhi Jayanti under Special Campaign 6

The Ministry of Textiles observed Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, 2026, with Swachhta and cleanliness activities under Special Campaign 6.0. Led by the Secretary (Textiles) at NIFT Delhi, participants administered the Swachhta Pledge and conducted a cleanliness drive focusing on waste management and upkeep. Additionally, the Ministry launched a dedicated textile waste collection drive starting October 2, 2026, installing collection bins to promote responsible collection, segregation, recycling, and upcycling of post-consumer textile waste in Central Government offices and residential colonies in New Delhi. Similar cleanliness and de-cluttering drives were undertaken at other locations such as the National Jute Board premises in Kolkata.
