FTII & NFDC-NFAI Inaugurate Second Edition of Workshop on Archiving, Preservation & Restoration of Moving Images

The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, alongside the National Film Development Corporation - National Film Archive of India (NFDC-NFAI), has inaugurated the second edition of the Workshop on Archiving, Preservation & Restoration of Moving Images in Pune. Running from 5 to 15 October 2026, the two-week workshop involves 26 participants focusing on audiovisual heritage conservation, digitisation, and restoration techniques. The programme covers areas such as moving-image preservation, metadata, digital restoration, and audio restoration, alongside institutional visits and curated film screenings.
