Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari Inaugurates Chintan Shivir 2026, Sets Agenda for Future-Ready Highway Infrastructure

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways inaugurated "Chintan Shivir 2026 – A National Conclave on Highway Infrastructure" at Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, guided by the motto "Gatishakti se Pragati". The two-day conclave brings together central and state ministers, PWD officials, and implementing agencies to discuss integrated planning, highway safety, green highways, toll reforms, and quality project delivery. Discussions focus on advance planning at the Detailed Project Report (DPR) stage, land acquisition, adoption of new technologies, and cost-effective materials. During the event, an Environment & Wildlife Mitigation Measures document and a BRICS Compendium on Perspectives in Sustainable Transport were launched.
