DARE/ICAR Launches Special Campaign 6.0 with Nationwide Cleanliness Drives and Felicitation of Safai Mitras

The Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) launched Special Campaign 6.0 on 2nd October, 2026, featuring nationwide cleanliness drives, Shramdaan, plantation initiatives under "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam", waste management activities, and the felicitation of Safai Mitras. Events were held across various ICAR institutes, including ICAR-CCARI in Goa where Union Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan felicitated sanitation workers, ICAR-IARI in New Delhi under the theme "Swachhta Mein Sahbhag – Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat", ICAR-NAARM in Hyderabad, ICAR-CAFRI in Jhansi, and ICAR-CIARI in Sri Vijaya Puram. The campaign aims to promote clean workplaces, community participation, record management, and sustainable environmental practices.
