Shri Harivansh Leads Indian Parliamentary Delegation to 153rd IPU Assembly in Tanzania

An Indian Parliamentary Delegation, led by Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Shri Harivansh, has departed for Arusha, Tanzania, to attend the 153rd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and related meetings from 5 to 9 October 2026. The assembly's theme focuses on enhancing good governance and empowering communities through inclusivity, trust, and opportunities for all. The delegation consists of members from both houses of Parliament who will engage in discussions on diverse global issues, including democracy, human rights, sustainable development, counter-terrorism, artificial intelligence, climate change, and international security.
