Special Gram Sabhas across India to Mark 2nd October with Discussions on Transformative Governance Reforms ; Launch People’s Plan Campaign 2026-27 ‘Sabki Yojana, Sabka Vikas’

Special Gram Sabhas are scheduled across India on 2nd October 2026 to discuss governance reforms and launch the People’s Plan Campaign 2026-27 titled 'Sabki Yojana, Sabka Vikas'. Facilitated by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj using a Whole-of-Government approach, the initiative involves multiple central ministries placing citizen-centric schemes—ranging from finance commission grants, eGramSwaraj, SVAMITVA, and the Jal Jeevan Mission to food security and land record modernization—at the centre of discussions. Over 2.55 lakh Gram Panchayats utilize this participatory framework to prepare Gram Panchayat Development Plans for Financial Year 2027-28. The gatherings will also raise awareness on new criminal laws, digital transformation, cooperatives, women and child welfare initiatives, and solid waste management.
