‘Hindi Pakhwada’

The Central Information Commission (CIC), under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, observed 'Hindi Pakhwada 2026' from 14th September to 28th September 2026. The observance aimed to promote the use of Hindi in official work and day-to-day administration, fulfilling the Official Languages Act, 1963. Various activities—including essay writing, extempore poetry, Hindi noting and drafting, translation, quizzes, extempore speeches, and debates—were conducted, drawing participation from nearly 120 employees, including non-Hindi-speaking staff. A prize distribution ceremony was held on 30th September 2026, presided over by the Hon’ble Chief Information Commissioner, to award winners with cash prizes and Certificates of Appreciation.
