Dr. Anjani Kumar Assumes Charge as Director Technical (Projects & Planning) of WCL

Dr. Anjani Kumar has assumed the charge as Director (Technical – Projects & Planning) of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), effective September 28, 2026. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Kumar served as Executive Director (Contracts) at Coal India Limited (CIL) headquarters in Kolkata. With over 33 years of experience in the mining sector, his career spans roles at Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL). Dr. Kumar holds a B.Tech. in Mining Engineering, a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from IIT (ISM), Dhanbad, and an MBA in Human Resources.
