Viksit Bharat- G RAM G

The Viksit Bharat - Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G) Act, 2025 came into force on July 1, 2026, replacing Mahatma Gandhi NREGA. Aligned with Viksit Bharat @2047, the Act guarantees 125 days of wage employment per financial year for rural households volunteering for unskilled manual work. It emphasizes a Whole-of-Government approach through Viksit Gram Panchayat Plans (VGPPs)—a decentralized framework focusing on water security, core rural infrastructure, livelihood infrastructure, and extreme weather mitigation. Implementation relies heavily on digital tools such as GIS, Yuktdhara, PM Gati Shakti, e-KYC via face and biometric authentication, geo-tagging, and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
