Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya Addresses National Conference on Industrial Relations and Labour & Awards 2026

The Union Minister for Labour & Employment inaugurated the 'National Conference on Industrial Relations and Labour & Awards 2026', themed 'Reengineering Industrial Relations & Workplace Participation in the AI Age.' The Ministry launched 'Shram Samvad,' an awareness campaign regarding Labour Codes, covering 316 districts across 36 States and Union Territories over 90 days. The Minister highlighted that India's social security coverage has expanded to 101 crore people (68% of the population) and reported a positive correlation between GDP growth and employment, noting that every 1% GDP growth generated 1.11% employment growth between 2017–23. A new report, 'Employer’s Guide Under New Labour Codes Framework: Fixed-Term Employment in India,' was also released to facilitate industrial relations.
