Trai assesses mobile network quality across South Delhi and nearby areas route under Delhi LSA during July, 2026
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) released findings from an Independent Drive Test (IDT) conducted in July 2026 across the Delhi Licensed Service Area (LSA), specifically targeting South Delhi and surrounding regions. The assessment aimed to verify real-time mobile network service quality for both voice and data across various Telecom Service Providers (TSPs). TRAI analyzed performance metrics including Coverage Gaps, Call Drop Rates (CDR), Call Setup Success Rates (CSSR), and data throughput. The tests utilized diverse environments, including city routes, hotspots, and pedestrian walks, using 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks. Findings have been shared with TSPs to encourage service improvements, and detailed reports are available on the TRAI website to inform consumers regarding network performance.
