Union Minister for Finance & Corporate Affairs Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman will embark on an official visit to Qatar from 27 to 29 September 2026

Union Minister for Finance & Corporate Affairs Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman is undertaking an official visit to Qatar from 27 to 29 September 2026 to lead a Ministry of Finance delegation. During the visit, she will attend the 11th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Doha on 28 September 2026 as India's Governor to the bank. India holds the position of the second largest shareholder in the AIIB. Additionally, the Union Finance Minister will hold bilateral meetings with the AIIB President and counterparts from Jordan, Switzerland, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, and Nepal, while also engaging with the leadership of Qatar and Qatari business leaders and investors.
