National Zoological Park organises 15th Sunday Bird Walk and 4th Butterfly and Dragonfly Walk, to promote Citizen Science and Biodiversity Conservation

The National Zoological Park (NZP) in New Delhi organized the fourth edition of the ‘Butterfly and Dragonfly Walk’ and the fifteenth edition of the ‘Sunday Bird Walk’ to foster citizen participation in biodiversity monitoring, species documentation, and wildlife conservation awareness. Guided by experts and volunteers, participants documented 47 bird species, 8 butterfly species, 10 dragonfly species, and 5 damselfly species. Additionally, the release announced that NZP will celebrate Wildlife Week 2026 from October 2 to October 8, featuring free entry for participants, teachers, parents, and children up to 12 years of age, alongside a series of educational, awareness, and participatory activities.
