Dr. Rohit Kumar Gupta takes charge as Director, JNARDDC

Dr. Rohit Kumar Gupta has assumed the position of Director at the Jawaharlal Nehru Aluminium Research Development and Design Centre (JNARDDC), Nagpur, effective from September 23, 2026. JNARDDC operates under the Union Ministry of Mines. Dr. Gupta is a metallurgist previously associated with ISRO's Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) and Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC). His background includes experience in materials development for various space missions, such as PSLV, GSLV, and the Chandrayaan and Gaganyaan programs. In his new role, Dr. Gupta is tasked with overseeing the Centre's research and development activities concerning aluminium, critical minerals, and metal recycling.
