DGTS Mumbai in Association with CGST & Central Excise, Thane Commissionerate Organises Outreach Programme on “Empowering Taxpayers, Facilitating Compliance”

The Directorate General of Taxpayer Services (DGTS), Mumbai Zonal Unit, along with the CGST & Central Excise, Thane Commissionerate, organized an outreach program titled “Empowering Taxpayers, Facilitating Compliance” on September 23, 2026. The event convened tax officers, professionals, and industry representatives to enhance awareness regarding Goods and Services Tax (GST) procedures. Technical sessions covered GST registration frameworks, refund provisions under Section 54, and e-filing procedures for appeals before the GST Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT). Officials underscored the importance of taxpayer outreach in grievance redressal and fostering voluntary compliance.
