National Film Awards to Reach the Country’s Best Tourist Destinations
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has announced an initiative to take the National Film Awards beyond conventional conference venues and host them across the country's best tourist destinations. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that this initiative is inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of taking national events across various states, drawing a parallel to how G20 events were distributed nationwide. The Union Minister invited all states to submit proposals identifying their best tourism destinations, along with plans for infrastructure facilities and 360-degree development. The selected state will host subsequent National Film Awards. The government aims to integrate film and tourism to promote destinations and connect national events directly with the public.
