Ministry of Ayush Advances Artificial Intelligence for Ayurveda and Traditional Medicine

The Ministry of Ayush is advancing Artificial Intelligence within Ayurveda and traditional medicine by building on the Ayush Grid. The Ministry has deployed various conversational AI tools, including the MAISP Chatbot for citizen information, the ARP Research Assistant for literature navigation, eLMS Chatbot for student life cycle management, e-CHARAK Chatbot for medicinal-plant trade, Yoga Saarthi for yoga recommendations, and Nivesh Saarthi for sector investment. Additionally, an Ayurveda use case was featured in the AI Impact Casebook on Health at the IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026. The Ministry is participating in the IndiaAI Innovation Challenge and collaborating with IndiaAI and the Digital India Bhashini Division to provide Ayush portals in 22 scheduled languages and host artifacts on AI Kosh.
