Indian Railways Approves ₹252 Crore for Kavach 4.0 on 607.7 Route Kilometres of Lucknow Division

Indian Railways has approved an allocation of ₹252 crore to implement Kavach Version 4.0 across 607.7 Route Kilometres in the Lucknow Division of the North Eastern Railway. This project aims to extend indigenous Automatic Train Protection coverage to strengthen safety infrastructure and modernise train protection systems. Kavach is an indigenously developed system designed to prevent Signal Passing at Danger, automatically apply brakes when necessary, and support safer train operations.
