Swachhata Pledge Administered by the Department to mark the beginning of the swachhata hi sewa 2026 program

The Department of Fisheries under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying administered the Swachhata Pledge on 17th September 2026 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Led by Secretary Dr Abhilaksh Likhi and attended by over 1,000 participants including officials, fishermen, and industry representatives, the hybrid event marked the beginning of the nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 campaign running from 17 September to 2 October 2026. The observance focused on promoting cleanliness, hygiene, reducing pendency, improving record management, and fostering a citizen-centric work culture under the Swachh Bharat Mission vision.
