Rozgar Mela

The National Rozgar Mela is a government initiative launched on October 22, 2022, to expedite recruitment to government posts and expand employment opportunities for youth. Operating as a mission-mode recruitment effort, the initiative has completed 20 editions and distributed over 12.75 lakh appointment letters, exceeding its initial target of 10 lakh jobs. The 20th edition, held in September 2026, distributed over 51,000 appointment letters. In addition to public sector recruitment, Rozgar Melas connect job seekers with private sector employers, organize Kaushal Melas, provide career counselling, facilitate Mudra loans for entrepreneurship, and offer skill exhibitions in collaboration with organizations such as the National Skill Development Corporation.
