Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya addressed the virtual Global Coalition for Social Justice Annual Forum 2026, where India took over the Co-Chairmanship of the Coalition’s Coordinating Group. Highlighting India's reform-led approach, the Minister outlined key national achievements, including the consolidation of 29 central labour laws into four modern Labour Codes, legal recognition for gig and platform workers, and the expansion of social protection coverage from 19 percent in 2015 to 68.4 percent in 2026. He also showcased digital public infrastructure initiatives like the e-Shram portal and National Career Service. As Co-Chair, Dr. Mandaviya set out three priorities for the Coalition: translating commitments into country-level action, enhancing knowledge sharing, and ensuring social justice informs development choices beyond 2030.
