Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smt. Annpurna Devi met H.E. Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development of Nigeria, in New Delhi. Held during India's BRICS 2026 Chairship, the meeting involved discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas such as women's economic collectives, financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, gender mainstreaming, clean energy, social protection, care economies, child rights, protection, and digital inclusion. The Nigerian delegation expressed interest in learning from India's best practices regarding women-led governance, nutrition support, and skilling.
