Konkan Railway Gears Up to Facilitate Smooth Ganesh Festival Travel 2026

The Ministry of Railways has announced comprehensive arrangements by Konkan Railway to facilitate travel during the Ganesh Festival 2026. Measures include operating special trains in coordination with Central and Western Railways across various routes, establishing first aid posts and emergency health units at select stations, and organizing passenger facilities such as pre-printed UTS tickets, holding areas, and coordination with MSRTC for onward bus journeys. Safety and security are managed through round-the-clock CCTV monitoring, RPF coordination with local police, and crowd control measures. Additionally, cultural events, festive stalls, and decorations are arranged at stations.
