PRINCE RAHIM AGA KHAN V CALLS ON THE PRESIDENT

Prince Rahim Aga Khan V met with the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan on September 10, 2026. This marks his first official visit to India in his current capacity. During the meeting, the President acknowledged the contributions of the late Aga Khan IV and the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). The President highlighted AKDN's initiatives in India across several sectors, including water and sanitation, education, maternal health, urban redevelopment, women's empowerment, and employment generation. The President characterized these interventions as successful models of public-private partnerships, illustrating how collaborations between non-profit organizations and the government can enhance the quality of life for citizens.
