Union Minister Shri Manohar Lal reviews preparations for Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 with States/UTs

Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs reviewed preparations for the nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2026 campaign, scheduled from 17th September to 17th October 2026. The theme for SHS 2026 is ‘Swachhata Mein Sahbhag, Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat’. Key focus areas include transforming Cleanliness Target Units, Swachh Paathshala - Yuva for Swachhata, SafaiMitra Suraksha Evam Samman Shivirs, and promoting circular economy and Waste-to-Wealth initiatives. States and Union Territories were urged to ensure citizen participation, visible cleanliness outcomes, and localized actions such as Shramdaan, RWA competitions, and special cleanliness drives linked to notable dates.
