9th ASEAN–India Ministerial Meeting on Agriculture and Forestry and 10th ASEAN–India Agriculture Working Group Meeting Held in New Delhi

The 9th ASEAN–India Ministerial Meeting on Agriculture and Forestry and the 10th ASEAN–India Agriculture Working Group Meeting were held on September 2026 in New Delhi, co-chaired by India and the Philippines. The meetings focused on strengthening the ASEAN–India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in agriculture and forestry through practical, farmer-centred cooperation. Discussions covered strategic frameworks like the ASEAN–India Medium-Term Plan of Action 2026–2030, climate-resilient agriculture, digital innovations such as AI in farming, low-emission rice, and food safety. The events also featured the unveiling of the 'India–ASEAN Friendship Spike' and visits by delegates to ICAR-IARI and ICAR-NBPGR to observe India's research, crop advancements, and plant genetic resource conservation.
