Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya to Chair National Conference on Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) to be Held in Mumbai on 11–12 September 2026

The Ministry of Labour & Employment, in collaboration with the Government of Maharashtra, is organizing a National Conference on Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) in Mumbai on 11–12 September 2026, chaired by Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya. The conference brings together central and state officials, labor ministers, and welfare board representatives to review welfare measures, worker registration, statutory responsibilities, and fund utilization under the evolving BOCW framework and new Labour Codes. Key components include sharing state-level best practices, reviewing progress on major initiatives like the State BOCW Digital Labour Chowk, Labour Chowk-cum-Facilitation Centres, and the Online BOCW Cess Collection Portal, as well as discussing International Labour Mobility Pathways, skilling, and the labor stack.
