Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah presented the President’s Colour to the Goa Police in Panaji, recognizing its eight decades of dedicated service, maritime border security, and maintenance of law and order. During the address, milestones achieved by the Goa Police were highlighted, including the reduction of the emergency helpline 112 response time from 18 to 8 minutes, an increase in the conviction rate from 23% to 53% in one year, and the launch of an AI-based call agent for the 1930 cyber fraud helpline supporting all languages listed in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution. Additionally, updates were provided on national economic growth, Free Trade Agreements, and strategic initiatives under the new criminal laws (Nyaya Sanhitas) and the 2026–2029 anti-narcotics roadmap.
